ABOUT TOM

Hello! My name is Tom Delnicki and I’m the State Representative from the 14th General Assembly District of South Windsor. I was elected in November 2018 to my second-term and I serve on the legislature’s Planning and Development Committee and the Insurance Committee, and will serve as the Ranking Member of the Banking Committee.

I am a lifelong resident of South Windsor. I grew up at 130 Felt Rd where I am is a fourth generation to live on the last piece of my family’s farm, which was established by my great grandfather in the early 1900s. I am a 1974  graduate of South Windsor High and attended the University of Connecticut. I retired from the Metropolitan District as a Facilities/Maintenance Supervisor in 2016. Locally, I’m best known for his spectacular holiday light display, which he hosts every December at his home.

Tom has served on the South Windsor Town Council from 1995 to 2007 and 2009 to present. During his time on the Council Tom has been Mayor twice, Deputy Mayor, and served on the first Strategic Planning Committee formed in 1999. He chaired the Ethics Committee, Audit Committee, Public Health and Safety Committee and Public Building and Land Naming Committee.

Prior to being elected to the Town Council, Tom was a member of the Board of Education and a member of the Inland Wetlands/Conservation Commission.
